To keep your face healthy and young-looking, facial toning exercises should be practiced daily. Below are some of the exercises which you can do to tone your face. These are simple to do and can be done at any time of the day. It doesn’t require a lot of time and the benefits you get out of these exercises are great.
In addition, these face exercises bring more oxygen to our skin cells which results in a clearer and healthier skin that has a nice glow and good color.
Take a Picture Before Starting Face Exercises
You may want to take a picture of yourself now before you start with these exercises. Then take a photo of yourself every 3 weeks so you can check your progress. Make sure to do so in the same light and same time of day for a true comparison. You should see some changes after a few months.
Facial Toning Exercise 1:
- Open your mouth wide as if you are ready to scream.
- Open your eyes wide and stare ahead.
- Revert to original position.
Do this five times. When you are done, repeat it again five times while moving your head from left to right.
Facial Toning Exercise 2:
- Press your forehead near the hairline with your fingers.
- Rub it with a backward motion.
It is said that the smooth rubbing will lessen the lines on your forehead if done religiously over a period of time.
Facial Toning Exercise 3:
- Open your mouth and slide your head back.
- In this position, open and close your mouth while moving your jaw as if you are munching on some food.
This motion gives a good exercise to your mouth and jaw. Do it ten times.
Facial Toning Exercise 4:
- Twist your lips inward.
- Puff your mouth with air inside it.
- Let half of your face be laughing on one side.
- Do the same for the other half.
Do this ten times. Regularly doing this will smoothen your cheeks. This is best done in front of a mirror.
Facial Toning Exercise 5:
- Keep your face straight.
- Press your teeth and spread your lips.
- Count to ten and revert to normal pose.
Do this ten times.
Facial Toning Exercise 6:
- Twist lips and puff up cheeks with air in them
- Keep three fingers on each side and press slowly, without letting the air blow out.
- Remain in this pose for ten minutes.
This is an effective exercise for both cheeks and mouth.
