How can you get rid of the wrinkles when you glue something?

Hello. I am ,doing this project that involves a lot of glue-ing. I already glued two things on the booklet and well, everything is so wrinkled!!! How can I get rid of the wrinkles and prevent from getting wrinkles when I glue out the rest?

use less glue, or use a glue stick
or you can use thicker paper, like construction paper instead of copy paper.
as for the things already glued, close it in a thick, heavy book over night or for a few hours, so it will flatten out
